Thanks to all of the wonderful family and friends in Westville, Illinois, who made my trip out there such an enjoyable one! On Tuesday, September 7th, I gave a book talk at the Westville Public Library, talking about Frozen Voices narrator, Anna Jensen, reading two brief excerpts from the novel, and answering some great questions from the audience. Quite a few folks turned out for the event, including some family members I haven't seen in years. Afterward, my Aunt Patty was kind enough to invite us all back to her lovely home for some yummy chocolate cake--a perfect end to a great day!
